POLICE MOTOR TRANSPORT

  The present fleet of vehicles of Orissa Police consists of the following

Heavy Vehicle.	Medium Vehicle.	Light Vehicle.	Motor Cycle.	Total.

      To repair and maintain these vehicles, there are one Central workshop at Cuttack, two range workshops at Sambalpur and Berhampur, two regional workshops at Rourkela and Koraput and 17 miniature workshops at different Battalion Headquarters and the Districts. As many as  58,173 major and 71,649 minor repair works were undertaken upto 31.12.2006.        78 unserviceable vehicles of different make were auctioned for Rs.7,27,854/- and the sale-proceeds were deposited in Government Treasury.

ORISSA STATE POLICE HOUSING AND WELFARE CORPORATION :

        The Orissa State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Ltd. was incorporated as a Company on 24^th May 1980. The main objectives of the Corporation are :

i) Construction of residential and non-residential buildings for the Government of Orissa (Primarily for police ) ,the Government of India and the quasi-Government organizations.

ii) Repair, maintenance, modifications and renovation of the roads, buildings and Civil structures of the same organizations.

     During the year 2006, the Corporation completed the constructions and handed over the following buildings.
